Terms and Conditions of Purchase

  1. The purchase of any service expires 12 months from the purchase date. A booking must be in place before this time.
  2. Services can be substituted for other services of equivalent value, as long as time permits and notice is given. If we need to substitute services for other services owing to the customer's inability to do the original test, we will as long as time permits
  3. Any booking of multiple scans can be shared between two people.
  4. Only a single coupon code or promotion can be applied to any one purchase, and cannot be used at all for Gift Cards or payments made with Klarna.
  5. If a customer purchases a service, gift card, or product from My Vital Metrics, and selects a date of service within the 14 day 'cooling off' period provided by The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the customer is deemed to have consented to waiving the provisions of these regulations.

    Cancellations, Refunds, Transfer of Credit

  6. If a customer purchases a service and takes any part of it, they are no longer eligible for a refund for the rest.
  7. Any refund requested for change of mind within the 14 day cooling off period provided for by The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 will be honoured
  8. Services which have have less than 3 months till expiry, or which have expired no longer have any monetary value and refunds cannot be provided for these.
  9. Services which have been bought which require processing by a third party such as a blood test cannot be refunded.
  10. If a customer wishes to transfer credit on their account to another person's account, that credit becomes ineligible for refund.

    Bookings

  11. Bookings must be done online via the booking portal, or by emailing bookings@myvitalmetrics.com
  12. Bookings may be rescheduled up to 24 hours before the booking. The reschedule link is contained in the booking confirmation email.
  13. Bookings may be cancelled altogether up to 48 hours before the booking time. Bookings can only be cancelled by emailing bookings@myvitalmetrics.com
  14. We reserve the right to modify your booking start time within 30 minutes of the original requested time, in order to ensure all resources are available.
  15. Owing to staff sickness or absence, we may need to change the consultant who takes your appointment. We may not be able to notify you of this change.
  16. For the above reasons and for reasons of equipment malfunction, if My Vital Metrics is unable to carry out the tests as booked we will offer compensation as a partial refund for the missed tests up to but no more than the value of the test which we were not able to complete.
  17. At My Vital Metrics' sole discretion, for bundles and combo scans, we may offer a refund of the full amount of the bundle if the customer does not wish to proceed without the test which we cannot perform.
  18. Bookings requesting cancellation 48 hours of the booking time or for which the client fails to show up for their appointment are forfeit and have the same status as a booking which has been taken, or a purchase which has expired
  19. Bookings requesting rescheduling within 24 hours of the appointment, will be, subject to My Vital Metrics' sole discretion, liable for the following charges relative to the length of the booking which is to be rescheduled:
    1. 24-12 hours before booking: £25/hour of booking
    2. 12-6 hours before booking: £50/hour of booking
    3. 6-0 hours before booking: £75/hour of booking.
  20. e.g. a Get Lean Bundle is a 2 hour booking. If someone were to request it be rescheduled with only 1 hour's notice, it would cost £150 to reschedule this booking.
  21. If the customer makes repeated requests to reschedule at short notice, the discounted 'reschedule for a charge' shown above may not be offered, in which case the booking will need to take place at the original time, or will be forfeit. 
  22. Bookings which have passed their start time cannot be rescheduled, they must be attended or are forfeit
  23. Please allow the full time for your booking, and always arrive 5 minutes before, to give you time to sign-in

    DEXA Scans

  24. DEXA Scans are subject to particular terms as this is a regulated activity.
  25. Clients requesting a DEXA scan must either:
    1. provide a medical referral from a registered member of one of the uk health councils, or
    2. Fill in a medical questionnaire to be reviewed by our Dietician, as well sign a disclaimer and referral and make satements about their eligibility to undergo the scan
  26. If being referred by our dietician, it should be noted that certain conditions, medications, and other scan history may prevent the dietcian from providing a referral, in which case a refund of the scan will be offered, or an alternative test.
  27. Among the statements in the medical questionnaire they must attest to, are that:
    1. They have not had a DEXA Scan in the last 6 weeks and not more than 6 in the last 12 months
    2. they are able to maintain a still lying position for 3-4 minutes.
    3. they have no reason to suspect they are pregnant
  28. If a client is inegible for a DEXA Scan on that occasion, My Vital Metrics may request the customer undergo another type of scan if appropriate, or may offer a new appointment.
  29. Most DEXA Scans also come with a free 3D Scan and a free Bioelectrical impedance test. Where offered, these are offered as complimentary add-ons only and do not form a core part of the service. If they are not offered, not taken or do not work, it does not affect the core service which is a DEXA Scan, and refunds or discounts cannot be considered.

    VO2Max and other Exercise tests

  30. Clients need to read the instructions in the confirmation and reminder emails and come prepared to exercise.
  31. This means appropriate clothing and state to exercise. Critically, the client must have appropriate gym shoes in which its safe to run or cycle.
  32. If the client does not have appropriate clothing, we way request that the client take a non-exercise test that day, or else that appointment or part of their appointment is forfeit.
  33. Clients will need to attest to their readiness to take a submaximal test
  34. In addition, My Vital Metrics will need to  take a medical questionnaire to  assess  suitability of the VO2Max test as it is extremely intense
  35. These medical forms are sent upon booking the appointment. It is your responsibility to respond to these before your appointment so we can make arrangements.
  36. My Vital Metrics may, on the  basis  of the medical questionnaire, advise against or refuse to proceed with the test if there are medical contraindications.
  37. In this circumstance, the customer will be offered another type of scan, or credit voucher for future use of another type of scan.
  38. My Vital Metrics has facilities to shower or wash afterwards, and clients if clients wish to take this up, should bring a towel and toiletries to their appointment.

MVM Rewards Loyalty Programme Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

The MVM Rewards Loyalty Programme (“Programme”) is operated by My Vital Metrics (“MVM”, “we”, “us”). Participation in the Programme constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

The Programme is available to all customers who are registered in our system and make a qualifying purchase of services directly from My Vital Metrics. One loyalty account is permitted per individual.

3. Earning Points

Points are awarded as follows:

– £10 worth of points upon a customer’s first qualifying purchase.

– 5% of the value of all subsequent qualifying purchases, including gift cards.

– £15 worth of points for referring a new customer who completes a qualifying purchase (excluding gift cards or third-party products).

4. Qualifying Purchases

Points can be earned on purchases of My Vital Metrics services only. Partner products or services not provided directly by MVM such as blood panels and DNA testing, are excluded from the Programme.

5. Redeeming Points

Points can be redeemed for discounts on any My Vital Metrics services. There is no minimum points balance or minimum spend required for redemption. Points cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another person.

6. Expiry of Points

All points expire 365 days from the date of issuance. Expired points will be automatically removed from the customer’s account.

7. Account Access and Statements

Customers can view their MVM Rewards balance via the customer booking portal. Loyalty statements will also be sent via email every two months.

8. Referral Terms

Referral rewards are issued only when the referred customer books and completes a qualifying service. Gift card purchases by referred customers do not qualify for referral points.

9. Fraud and Misuse

We reserve the right to withhold or cancel points, and to suspend or terminate a customer’s participation in the Programme, if we suspect abuse, fraud, or any breach of these Terms and Conditions.

10. Changes to the Programme

My Vital Metrics reserves the right to modify or terminate the MVM Rewards Programme, or to change earning or redemption rates, eligibility criteria, or these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
